Lissa Rosenthal-Yoffe, Executive Director

As Executive Director of the DC Collaborative, Lissa works with the staff, members, and board to ensure the organization's consistent achievement of its mission and objectives. Lissa Rosenthal-Yoffe is a dedicated champion of the arts and an arts education advocate committed to improving the lives of youth and artists through public access, community engagement and public heath campaigns. She has promoted and raised support for many leading national and local educational and cultural institutions including the Future of Music Coalition where as Executive Director she led advocacy initiatives and organizational optimization at the intersection of music, technology and public policy. She was Director of Programs for the American Council for the Arts (now Americans for the Arts) where she first coordinated the National Coalition for Education in the Arts along with spearheading national Arts Advocacy Day and the Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy and served as Development Director of the PS1 Contemporary Art Center (now MoMA PS1,) as well as the Pittsburgh Glass Center.

Her past work on behalf of art, culture and youth also includes public relations and fundraising consultation to youth and cultural programs in Pittsburgh for Gateway to the Arts, Pittsburgh Community Gallery Project, Pittsburgh Celebrates Glass and Light, and the 250th anniversary of the City of Pittsburgh.

As part of her public health and social justice advocacy, she served as the National Program Director for PAX: Real Solutions to Gun Violence (now a program of Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence). While there she directed its highly acclaimed national public health campaigns ASK and SPEAK UP dedicated to reducing youth gun violence in America. She has also worked extensively in AIDS Walk and Dance-a-thon fundraising event production, raising millions of dollars and awareness for AIDS service organizations nationwide. Her past volunteer service dedicated to youth includes work with Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation program, ranking her among their most effective national volunteers working to end childhood hunger.  Ms. Rosenthal-Yoffe is no stranger to the arts community. She is dedicated to social change and actively promotes high quality public arts education for all children. Tracey Wyton, Director of Programs and Community Engagement

Tracey Wyton is the Director of Programs and Community Engagement at the DC Collaborative and directs the organization's Membership Services, Collective Impact Initiatives and Programs. Committed to the mission of providing equitable access to arts and humanities education for all students, Tracey is invigorated by her work with DC Collaborative members, educators, administrators, families who are working together to impact the lives of students through arts and humanities education. She began her tenure at the DC Collaborative in June 2012 as the Program Manager of School Services and managed the Arts and Humanities for Every Student and Professional Development programs.

Tracey graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory at Shenandoah University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Production and Recording Technology with a classical emphasis and played oboe in the orchestra and wind ensemble. Tracey has been a longtime arts and arts education advocate and completed a Masters of Science in Arts Administration program at Shenandoah University to focus her career on supporting and advocating for arts and humanities education. She also managed the conservatory box office while she was pursuing her Masters. Tracey continues to be inspired by educators, members and dedicated board and staff who are incredibly supportive of arts and humanities education in the DC region. Katherine Custer, Program Manager

Katherine Custer is the Program Manager at the DC Collaborative. Katherine manages outreach, registration and assessment for the Collaborative's legacy Arts and Humanities For Every Student program. She is the main point of contact for AHFES providers, as well as the Programming Committee. Katherine has a Masters in Museum Education from the George Washington University and undergraduate degrees from University of South Carolina in Art History and Retail Management. Prior to joining the Collaborative, she worked with the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Daughters of the American Revolution Museum, the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Clarissa Heartsfield, Program Assistant

Clarissa is the Program Assistant at the DC Collaborative. She primarmily works with the Arts and Humanities for Every Student program and serves as the direct point of contact for field-trip logistics. Clarissa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Virginia Commonwealth University with a concentration in classical voice. In addition to music, Clarissa has a love for social services and previously worked at a crisis hotline.  She then went back to her musical roots and most recently served as the Board and Special Events Assistant for Washington National Opera at The Kennedy Center.
